I See You

One of my favorite photos of my amazing little girl. A moment that captures her beauty, curiosity, and love of participating in life. The struggle to foster the innocence and joy of childhood is a theme that often has me scratching my head. Thank you grasshopper.
The More Loving One
by W. H. Auden
Looking up at the stars, I know quite well
That, for all they care, I can go to hell,
But on earth indifference is the least
We have to dread from man or beast.
How should we like it were stars to burn
With a passion for us we could not return?
If equal affection cannot be,
Let the more loving one be me.
Admirer as I think I am
Of stars that do not give a damn,
I cannot, now I see them, say
I missed one terribly all day.
Were all stars to disappear or die,
I should learn to look at an empty sky
And feel its total dark sublime,
Though this might take me a little time.

An amazing story, and thoughtful program highlights it is never too late for Love. The restorative and healing effects of opening your heart is a daily choice. Not an easy one, but ultimately the best one…
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Love this post from Decor 8 this weekend…and wanted to share this spectacular bedding line with everyone!Rickshaw design which was started by Catherine Fitzsimmons, a former Pottery Barn Kids and Ralph Lauren Textile designer is all about bringing a fresh approach to the nursery.. I love these toys, blankets and stuff. Have to track her down and get in the stores!

An upcoming trip to New York in late Fall, so we are making a list of places to go! Sweetiepie a new restaurant on Greenwich is a must. What is not to love about a restaurant whose premise is a place for kids to take their parents….designed and owned by two stylish New Yorkers, with a menu of classics and deserts so simple and divine…Grilled Cheese, BLT’s, Roasted Chicken and to finish it off, fantastic ice cream sundaes.. If you live or are visiting New York with kids, check it out.
